DO NOT buy your gas from Shell or Exxon. If enough people boycott buying gas from these two companies a gas war will start causing prices to drop like crazy.

In Oklahoma we're predicted to have gas raise to over $4. I can't imagine places like California and how much they'll be paying.
 
Thats insane, 4$. Imagine how fit our country would be if fast food was that expinsive.
 
Gas boycotts haven't ever been shown to make a difference in prices. Considering ExxonMobil is the 7th largest company in the world, and Shell is the 8th - I don't think we can do too much to them imo anyway.

If you want to boycott gas - how about Citgo - since it's owned by a person who has publicly vowed to destroy America?

Actually, that's exactly how the gas war and price gauging started wayy back. Companies were completely boycotted which forced them to lower their costs and then everyone was lowering to compete.

If everyone boycotted Shell and Exxon, you'd definately see some prices coming down quickly.

I'd boycott Citgo then too.
 
Actually, many economists have stated that boycotting individual gas companies would have no effect. (Gasoline and most petroleum products are what are called "fungible commodities", i.e., they can simply be resold to another supplier.) So if we boycott Exxon and Shell, without cutting back the amount of gas/oil we consume, someone like Shell simply would step in and have to fill the demand.

I agree. Except if you boycott the two largest suppliers and they start to see HUGE profit drops, then gas prices by them are lowered which causes others to follow suit.

This is how the gas price gauging wars started before and it was successful.

It doesn't matter, USA,Mexico, and Canada are already forming the "North American Union". Think of it as all three of us combined under one leader all with equal rights, One big country.
