Extremly Important need help ASAP

Ok today was my fourth track meet, I ran the 400 yard/meter dash. I was in first place all the way around until about 100 yards from the finish line, Thats when everyone passed me and I finished last, What happened was I was outta breath, I was getting tunnel vision(from andrenelyne rush), And my legs wouldnt go any faster in fact they were slowing down to a jog. I have my 5th and final track meet april 12 and I want to do well in the 400 so that gives me 7 days. Would anyone reccomend me do anything? Maybe some endurance running, or squats with barbell? Thats all I can think of. If you say I should do endurance running please explain like what kind, because I may be wrong but my idea of endurance running is jogging for as much as you can and push yourself just a little bit when your outta breath.

Thanks, help would be appreciated MAJORLY
Also if you have any links of websites that have tips and tactics in running track that would be greatly helpful!

I used to run track in high school and my sister is an olympic qualifying runner. What I've learned from my experience and hers is its all in that last kick. You have to pace yourself for the last 100m dash. You hit your anaerobic threshold too early in that run which is why your legs weren't moving. You should be able find running sites with maybe "runners chatrooms". I do know that you should NOT touch those weights close to a meet. 400m is a really hard run it is too short to be endurance yet too long to be a 100% sprint. Its all in the timing of when to start that final kick and pass everyone.
Do you have a sprinting coach??
Good luck!!!
