Exhausted while working out?

I was just wondering if anyone else has expierienced this...

I run for 20 minutes everyday as part of my cardio routine, but lately I've been having a weird problem. While running, of course I get out of breath and breathe heavy and my heart pounds, I never had any pain but when I stop running or even while I'm running, I start to feel cold. I'm really surprised by this because I would think that I would feel warm, and I'm dressed in a warm jogging suit. But sure enough I feel really cold and I have to stop and catch my breath and then even when I sit down I feel cold and even my skin feels cold on my arms, even though they're covered and I'm indoors.

Is this anything to be worried about and does anyone else have this?

Thanx:p

Oh, and just so u know, I run indoors on a treadmill

I'm no doctor, but it sounds like the beginning of heat exhaustion. Skin can be very cool and you can feel cold, get the chills, etc. Make sure you are HYDRATED and stay hydrated throughout your workout. Maybe lost the heavy sweatsuit too and let your body breathe

Wow, thats pretty scary. I never thought about that, but it does sound like heat exhaustion.

Thanks for the help:cool:

I don't know much abuot heatstroke but I did get it once in the summer and it's not nice -what you're describing does sound a bit like it.

So I'd agree with the others -lose the thick top and keep drinking.

On the treadmill I'm not at a running stage yet -I walk some and jog some. But when I get on I wear some tracksuit trousers and a thin sleeveless top. I have a bottle of water infront of me and I KEEP drinking from it. It's gone in less than half an hour usually and I have to go refill it. I find that my mouth burns when I am working out hard and this keeps me drinking.

I'd say stop wearing the jogging suit and wear some lighter clothes and see what happens. Drink plenty of water. And if it persists see a doctor.

Maybe you should consider consulting with a doctor and do some body check. That way would make you at ease with what you're encountering when exercise...
