Weight-Loss Exercise? What?

Weight-Loss

So, lately I have become lazy, and I sometimes don't exercise. I know its the downfall of my progress ( which although maintains steady, I need more exercise) This is kind of a challenge for myself to be active most days in the week, (but I would love a few people who are having a hard time also to join and chat!) with a day or two rest. I am having a breast reduction in a few months, probably 2-3 and would love to loose close to 20 more pounds before then.

I won't make this a strict club challenge , because we all have lives- and I only have time for so much on the website. So check in when you want, but try and keep progress of your exercise, and do it at least 5 days a week. :) Good Luck! I will try and get off my lazy butt more .

First of all, I just have to say Congratulations on your progress this far. 70 pounds lost, that's amazing!
I try to get in exercise every day, too, but sometimes it's hard, isn't it? I guess I'll start off by reporting my exercise for today:
30 minutes weight-training session (from the Body Sculpting Bible for Women, the Break-in Routine, day 1)
Extra calories burned: 150

I have a reporting system, of sorts, that I am working on, in my personal weight-loss diary. Have a look:

I have a problem with accountability. If I totally fall off the wagon, and botch my diet for the day, and don't do any exercise, nobody knows but myself.

Aleeluh,

I have been very undisciplined in my exercise for about six months. ABout two weeks ago, I started being very faithful to it again. I am hoping to stay that way for the long haul.

I was wondering if you would mind sharing info about your breast reduction plans. I am totally in need of a reduction. I am not even sure what size I am anymore. I lost 60 pounds (then regained some while not exercising). I have a really hard time pushing my workouts harder because my breast fly around and knock the breath out of me. I HATE it. Do you know how much the surgery is going to cost? How did you locate a surgeon that you trusted?

I soooo want to have this done, too. I will be watching for your updates about your progress!

Thank both of you for replying.

and thanks for the congrats on my progress:), time flew by!

-tiffany, I went to three consultations before I found the Plastic surgeon I wanted to use. I am now a 36 F, and I did not loose any breast when I lost weight ( the first thing they asked me!),She said they can get me to a C, if not a small D. I am just waiting on my insurance approval now. :) My regular doctor wrote a letter, along with my endocrinologist, and I fit all the criteria- so I am pretty sure I will "pass" the approval process. I looked on my insurance's site, and got the criteria and read over it . I also visit a forum ( and post ) that was BEYOND helpful, and the girls there are amazing . ( ) I strongly suggest you read the Top 25 asked questions, and all the FAQ. I am sure if you have any questions you can register and ask- they are much more knowledgeable than I am . If you need to talk, or ask anymore , just let me know here. Or feel free to email me ( Nikki_L_Yoke@hotmail.com )

I will update this thread when I wake up, I need a nap. My morning has been eventful. I was going to have my hair colored back red, because when i got blonde highlights it became way to lighter ( more blondish) , but then.. my phone decided it would die. So now I have to spend money on that!

Thanks for the info. Sorry about your phone. I know how frustrating it can be to make plans and then have some mini disaster show up and wreak everything.

As for the breast stuff: I also have not lost ANYTHING off of my breasts through my weight loss. At one point, I was down 63 pounds (I put some back on before getting back on track) and I did not lose ANYTHING off of my breasts. I think they are here to stay unless I have them reduced. Unfortunately, I will have to pay for the whole thing myself.

I had regular sized breasts when I was in school. (36 B) When I started having my children, I just zoomed up. I have passed the point of even knowing what size I wear. I have never been to a place where the could size me either, though I plan to eventually. All I know is that I spill out of the biggest things I can get my hands on in regular department stores. My best friend tells me that she "thinks" I am an EE. I would LOVE to be a full C, but would rather be an B than what I am right now. This is miserable...but I don't have to tell you that.

Well, I would talk to your regular doctor about getting a referral. If he/she thinks you should, and you meet your insurance ( if you plan on using ) criteria. I would at least get a consult with a PS. The ladies I talk to say it is way worth it!.

I am definitely going to check out that site you recommended.

Are you nervous at all about the scars or the recovery time?

Call me crazy but, I have tons of stretch marks- although they are fading, scars don't scar me much at all :p

Recovery time.. I planned to start school in Jan , instead of August because of this! So I will have a few months. I planned it that way, since I have never had any kind of surgery. Now I am just impatient :p

Alright, my schedule is a little off- :p but I am about to do some turbo jam. Also, I will probably do some walking when it gets about 5:15.

I ran 1.9 miles last night(thought I was running 2 miles). After I got home, I did some weight-lifting and some traditional crunches.

I was down two more pounds this morning, so the things I am doing are paying off! Wouldn't it be great if two pounds a day were a realistic long-term accomplishment. lol I know it will level off, but I am enjoying every second if it for now!

Good job! I plan on getting on my treadmill for a long time. I am in the process of burning a few CD's to listen to. Music always makes it better :p I was planning on renewing my gym membership also, but I decided since I have to spend money on a new phone- it can wait. I have a treadmill and hand weights here, so I can put it off for a bit. :D I would go outside today and walk, but its just way to hot! If I feel like it I might do a DVD, we will see though! Will update later!
