exercise that is okay to do with scoliosis and tachycardia?

i ride my bike every so often (usually 2x a week, but it's winter now so i can't), but that really raises my heartbeat and i have to stop and try to slow it down every few MINUTES.
i've also tried a gym, but the machines kick me off because my heart rate goes so high in a short period of time.
i also have leslie sansone's walk away the pounds videos, and i'm planning on using them, but even that is very difficult and i have to work up to it.
i have tried yoga, but with my scoliosis, all i feel in yoga is PAIN. i enjoy weight-lifting, but am no longer in a gym because i wasn't paying for a place
where i can only use 1/10th of the facilities, and i'm pretty sure if i lifted too much weight at once i could really hurt my back badly.

i am mostly interested in low-impact cardio, but idk what kinds of exercises are low-impact enough for someone with a screwed up back and a racing heart.

honestly, I would stick with walking...experts have said it is the best low impact exercise you can do.

The brilliant thing about walking is that we can all set our own pace. Even slow walking can be very beneficial... When I was big I didnt walk fast at all - but it was very effective.
