Well I know that we are not supposed to undertake any sort of exercise program if we were not doing it before we started Cohens but I decided that I just could not handle the dreaded wobble. Every time I take a step I can feel my jelly legs wobbling... sorry about being so graphic.

So anyway I went to a web site and bought one of those eliptical trainers, you know the ones that you get in sports shops for about $1000, well I picked mine up for $180 instead of $600 it was on some website, best buys, bargins or something like that.

As you can imagine I have been like a kid at Christmas and I have been eagerly waiting the delivery of this product and gues what??? It arrived today!!!! I was so excited to see the box :):)

I dragged the 48kg box inside, almost killing myself in the process.. this sure is alot of exercise.. I was buggered. :)

So I decided I'm going to open the box.. I just couldn't resist and I am going to play with it now.. make my hubby proud when he gets home from work to see it all together.. after I explain to him how it ended up here

I opened the box and seen all 5 million pieces in the box... no wonder it was so cheap.. now I've to got to get hubby happy to get him to put this complicated mess together so I can go happy walking while watching the biggest loser :)

Well I hope that you guys can see the irony in this.. I guess I'm not supposed to do excessive exercise.. not that I will be probably 10 min a few times a week until I'm finished Cohen's. All I know is that now I have heaps more energy than before.

Sorry I've pratled on but thought this was something worthwhile sharing.

Hi Faithie,

I too have thought about doing some light exercise. My husband offered to buy me a exercise bike but i told him i like eliptical thingy. I also have energy some days and feel that i need to start doing something. I was just wondering does your husband read instructions. Mine dosn't!! and his a builder that worries me some times i gess that i'm just one of thoes people who love insturctions.

Hi Lost4eva,

My hubby doesn't like to read instructions, but in saying that I doubt he will try this without them.. I had a look and there are almost 200 pieces, 3 main bits and then lots of washers, nuts, bolts etc.

I hope that once it's built it will be worth it. Fingers crossed.

As for the energy thing. I used to have an exercise bike but it was old and went to gym heaven. I had been looking for ages for something that was easy for the whole family to do. I have a 10 year old boy who is very conscious about his weight, he is big for his age, he is 155 cm already so he is heavier and bulkier than his friends, I guess he has me to thank for that.

Well anyway he is as excited as me about this. We used one when we were on holidays in NSW only 2 mornings but it was easy and it was adjustable so it doesn't have to be excessively hard.

My plan is to do 10 min on it and then go for a swim (I don't do laps either) so it will be a refreshing reward.

Have a great Australia Day:)

Hi Faithie,

That story is so hilarious, thankyou I had a great laugh!!! My hubby is hopeless at that kind of thing, I guess it would have ended up in the bin if it was us:) As it is, we did have a treadmill once, but ended up hanging our clothes off it:D

Good luck with the excercise (and the assembly!!!)

Hi Fathie :)

I can relate to your story I bought a elliptical machine off Danoz and it was a night mare it wasn't good quality missing piece's and lot's of hard work trying to get danoz to send parts it went on for along time and then I eventually sent it back at their cost.

So will never buy any thing off danoz again and have relayed this to them.

Any way I started doing research into these machines and decided to hire before I buy this was a year ago so we bought the machine minus the hire fee and we are very happy it cost close to a $1000.00 but they are solid and they are the same type the gym's use.
They deliver to your door already assembled or will assemble for you at home much easier and comes with a 12 month warranty.

So why not hire before you buy and see how you like it. I was doing 30 minutes everyday while doing ww and I only lost 8kg in 3 months i know I was probably gaining muscle but even so I prefer doing the Cohen's way and then will get back on machine when at refeed stage and start with maybe 10 minutes a day and build up from their.

And the other exercise I found great was aqua areobics I lost and toned in no time.........so this will be something i will do as well.
