Excuses, Excuses...

O.K. O.K., Get ready for my excuses! I was losing weight and looking great
until Hurricane Charlie! Yes, I live in Florida and ever since our first of 3 major
hurricanes I was losing weight and motivated. After pigging out during hurricane charlie and living without power for a week, eating fast food
and junk, I gained a couple pounds. Shortly after that hurricane I was bitten
by a mosquito and got viral minengittis. I was really sick for 2 weeks and gained a few more pounds after that. Of course you know we had 2 more hurricanes after that which means more power outtages and more fast food and pigging out during the actual devastation! Needless to say I gained more weight. Before all of this happened I was down to 144 lb.s (5'10") that was a great weight for me! Now I weigh 162! :eek:

Anyways I just weighed myself this morning and was disgusted to see that
number on the scale as I've been disgusted with how my jeans are almost busting at the seams. I am just now starting to get motivated and need lots
of advice on diet and indoor excercise! Thanks...Tina
 
Hello,

Well here are some things I am trying, although you might need to modify them. I am trying to eat 4 light meals throughout the day, and one larger meal. Also try to get in plenty of fruits and veggies. I try to stay away from junk food and stop eating when I'm satisfied. Also I try to get in some kind of aerobics every day at least for a few minutes and weight lifting 3 times a week (to tone up). As for indoor exercise get a workout video or try some things of your own. Crunches are great for your midsection. I love my bike. Good Luck.
 
boarding up ur windows for the next hurricane would be good exercise ... and running around and picking up all the garbage ... ;)
since this is a fast weight gain, getting back to your regular eating pattern and a little exercise should be all you need

We did get some exercise picking up the debris from trees and roof shingles!
But it was only a days worth x three. I know I need to get back to my regular
eating and exercising pattern but it's harder to keep motivation going this time. :( Not sure why?

nice to have you back - I was wondering where you had went, cause I remember that you were doing really well.
Just try to put the past weeks behind you and start over fresh:)

You've done it once before and you can do it again. You already made the first step by returning to the forum!
