Hi everyone! I just thought I'd introduce myself and tell a little bit of my story. I've never been within the recommended weight for my height and age, but I never considered myself "fat". Now, I do though. I've been out of college for a little over 3 years, and now I'm starting to pack on the pounds. I blame it on the decrease in activity since I've entered the working world. I'm newly married and have resolved with my husband to get back into shape. He's feeling the same way since his days of playing competitive sports are over. The problem is that he's actually making this harder for me. First of all, he doesn't need to lose more than 10 pounds and he's in way better shape than I am. We've started working out every morning for 1 to 1.5 hours 5 or 6 times a week (both strength training and cardio) since the beginning of February. We haven't really changed our eating habits since I'm a vegetarian and all I cook are low calorie, healthy meals. Neither of us really have a sweet tooth, so that helps. This is a little long winded, but here's why I'm on this forum now. He's started dropping weight, but I'm gaining! He's trying to be supportive and motivating, which I appreciate. However, it's just frustrating me because I'm the type of person that needs results, so no matter what he says, I can't get passed the fact that he's losing and I'm gaining. I'm here hoping to find motivation from people who have been through the same situation....people who understand my plight! Anyway, thanks for reading this thread and I looking forward to talking to all of you throughout our weight loss adventures!
