Sport Excess Sodium Intake

Sport Fitness
I've been having excessive amount of sodium intake lately. I've been having bunch of food with like 75% to 90% daily value sodium intake. I think i've been eating about 300 % minimum of daily value.

What does sodium do for your body? Is having too much dangerous? What shoudl i dO?

Drink 0.5-1 gal of water a day. That will help excrete excess sodium from the body.

too much sodium is bad.
too little sodium is bad.

I suspect the ONLY reason you're taking in too much is because you're eating crap. Pre-packaged, pre-processed foods are LOADED with sodium (among other bad things)
for example your typical Lunchables meal contains at least 50% of the RDA for sodium, and taht includes the ones marketed to children.

uh yea... your'e right on that one. I eat those prepackaged noodles and frozen microwave lunches and bunch of spicy asian food.

naw not even although I have also heard that about how water flushes out excess sodium. I eat as healthy as I possibly can meaning buying organic foods(of course making sure theyre really organic and not one of those scams that claim they are and then they are made with high fructose corn syrup and **** like that) like organic skim milk and eggs, lean meats, 100% whole wheat breads, olive oil, natural peanut butter, and what not. I was just wondering about wheither it leads to weight gain or not.
