MY DOG ATTACKED A SKUNK!!!

....she won of course, but still got her stupid ass sprayed in the process....i'm dieing over here

just thought i'd share
 
I'd tell you to make your dog take a tomato paste bath...but that'd probally just make your misery worse.
 
hahaha that is too funny!!!! Take him to your local vets and gross them out...after all they have to have the assistants restrain him for examination! ;)
 
Skunk musk is the #1 foulest odor on the planet (poll taken).

Do the tomato bath, no water, just tomato juice, but it's going to take time.
 
Apparently this recipe helps some as well...

Skunk Smell Remover
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
2 tbsp Dish Detergent. The stuff for washing dishes in the sink, not something for dishwashers.

Mix the ingredients in a large bowl, because it will boil up like Vesuvius. We are, after all, making an oxygen generator. Wash the dog with this while it is still foaming, because it is the oxygen which reacts with the thiols in the skunk stink to neutralize the odor. If it sits around, it will loose it's efficacy because the oxygen boils off. Don't try to store it in an airtight container, because it will blow up. The brew also works for clothes,
 
thanks for the responses ppl, already had her bathed before the first of you responded though, lol

tomato paste all the way....fortunately she's black, although the bits of gray are now pinkish, hehe
 
...steppin2it, 110 lbs of solid muscle...the vet would freak out if i brought the male in...fortunately it was the little itty bitty female that got sprayed, lol still, this vet would NOT be happy. ;)
 
go with thew baking soda that will absorb the smell.

you are just going to ahve to wait it out for the most part....

Don't you wish you had a head cold right now?? :p
 
That's gotta suck. Poor you.

Does the dog at least live outside, or is she in the house?
