Energy Drinks?

Well I was doing so well with my diet losing 2 pounds a week, but thanksgiving came, then christmas, and well I kind of let myself go. I dont look much different but I dont feal as good as I did. I want to work out again but Ii need a little extra boost in the end of the day, to work out. Since I work all day I can only work out at night.Well heres my question, do energy drinks really work? Or does any one have any ideas on how i can get a little boost? How about Nitrous Powder?

If your diet is spot on, you'll feel much more energized by the end of the day - best way to do it. If you still can't can't seem to get that energy, energy drinks are alright, just expensive and you must make sure that you drink lots of water as well. Personally, I would use caffeine tablets instead.

yea I just started my diet once more. But I plan to go at it hard this coming year . Yes water a drink about a gallon and a half to two gallons a day. Caffeine pills were can i purchase those? are they more effective than energy drinks?

I would pick up caffeine tablets mainly because they are dirt cheap, rather than 2.50 a pop for an energy drink. A multivitamin will make a big difference as well, all the B vitamins and such, you'll feel more energized near the end of the day.

Here's an of some caffeine tablets, it's fine for before a workout and such, just don't go overboard on taking them and you should be fine.

By the way, all energy drinks are are basically caffeine with some amino acids as well. Just to give you an example, a Red Bull contains something like 80mg of caffeine, these tablets are around 200mg of caffeine, so half a tablet might even do.

If you don't mind the taste of green tea, it's not a bad habit to start drinking it daily. Personally, it gives me a consistent boost and it also adds a nice thermogenic effect on the body as well. There are several good brands to choose from, and if you want a more potent green tea, then matcha or dokudami tea from Japan works well.

most energy drinks are full of carbs too, which you def. don't want when trying to shed bodyfat.

you could also just have a cup of coffee in the afternoon. I do that sometimes.

there are also thermogenics which can help speed fat loss a little, and will give you some pep. I don't generally recommend them as a fat burner, since your diet has to be perfect to really get the benefits...but they are useful for energy.

Complex carbs > simple carbs/caffeine for workout energy.

I recommend some sort of whole grain (cereal/bar form work well), a piece of fruit, and water as an easy pre-workout meal.

what is thermogenics? and how do they speed fat loss? how do they give energy?

search this site and google for thermogenics. its the fancy term for 'fat burner', but not all of the ones out there work.

they give energy, and fat loss, by using stimulants. ephedra used to be in all fat burners til the FDA banned it and started strict regulation of it.
