I am starting out at 240ish lbs, (this goes up and down a pound everyday:/) my goal for june is to lose weight!!!!!!! I have been in denial for about 2 years now and i need this to be accountable!! THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!!! HERE WE GO!! LETS DO THIS!

well i have to say my energy is THROUGH THE ROOF TODAY!!! surprisingly! i honestly usually am about to fall asleep by this time of day but not today! i am working my 10 hours today so im trying to do little things like walk steps or squats so i am proud of myself today! on to the next!!! thanks for reading:)
 
I recently lost my "significant other"- a crushing blow for my family. My children have asked me to take care of myself because they cannot contemplate losing the only parent they have left. I do not wish to be the reason for the type of pain and suffering they have and are still going through. So, for them more than any other reason I WILL lose weight and be healthier.

Am for moderation, so I want to start at 10 lbs my first month and then 3-5 lbs monthly over the next 6 months. This way I can hopefully keep the body relatively firm and avoid the "jiggles" (a tough enough task at my "young age" :p).
 
The Poll does not have a suitable option lol, my goal is to gain muscle and loose fat (not the same as loosing weight)
 
wow healthytraits....i cant imagine... and yes your family loved ones and friends need you! but most importantly you need you! you need the strength and will power and determined mindset to keep this family going which i am sure that you have already begun this process so make your goals logical! try and keep your focus and get you a reason 'why' and post that on your mirror so you can see this every morning!! i am hope for the same non jiggly results as well my friend lol:) every one is great here so i wish you the greatest success and keep striving!! I need some tips on losing weight...

I am active and I am a healthy eater, but I am a bit over weight :/ I have gained weight from having surgery 5 months ago and I need to lose it. How do I lose weight in my stomach? ://// I'm really unhappy. I need to lose 16 pounds. Any good areobic exersizes anyone? Some tips please?
 
Hey welcome jasmine!!! I hope you are recovering well!! And usually we women need to do more core strengthening exercises!!! If u like to dance zumba is wonderful for our bellies!! Also yoga abs is wonderful!!!!! I personally do yoga BC the dancing is hard on my bad left knee:/ but my friends love it and I always notice their slimming waists! I hope this helps and FYI u can YouTube any exercise and it will show u lots!! Oh and don't forget fat blasting foods for ur tummy!!! Stay away from breads and sugars:) much love and success to you!! Hi! I am here to lose a little weight and be happier and healthier. High blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes runs in the family and many of my family members are over weight. I want to beat the odds and become/stay healthy. My 11yo little sister is already 145 lbs and in the 70% for diabetes, im trying to encourage a change in mine and my families life style.
 
I want to lose 5 kgs this month and 4kg every month after until I am at my goal weight so I should be where I want to be in 5 months and am so looking forward to it!

Unfortunately you cannot spot reduce the fat from specific locations, and no amount of extra ab work will help. As for good aerobic exercise, the best exercise is any that you enjoy and gets your heart rate up, playing sport is a good option.
 
I lost 18 Lbs in my first 4 weeks and today marks the beginning of the next 4 weeks and I'd like to lose the same again. I know it's a big challenge but my energy and fitness have improved dramatically in just 4 weeks. From being out of breathe climbing the stairs I managed 60 mins on the treadmill today covering almost 5.5 miles.
 
Is it weird my goals are all of those things? :)
