Elliptical/Cross Trainer Workout Advice

Hi Everyone,

I'm in need of losing some weight. Over the past couple of years I've piled on some weight, especially around my stomach and thighs and want to get back to my previous shape that I'm used to! I've been watching my diet and portion sizes and have been noting this all down on the myfitnesspal app which helps me keep track of calories. I've recently purchased the York X201 cross trainer to make sure I'm doing exercise (my previous job was very active and have now gone to a desk job). Can anyone give me some tips on workout for the cross trainer? It has several programs which all seem to cover what I'd like to achieve (ie fat burn, weight loss etc) so not sure which would benefit more..the image below shows the programs (the names of programs are readable if you click on the picture to enlarge).
