anyone know if i can buy egg whites separated from the yolks, like in a carton or something? or am i stuck with buying the whole egg and separating it myself? tia

You can buy eggs whites in cartons at just about any supermarket that I have been to. It is usually much cheaper to seperate them yourself though
 
COOL, i've never seen them before...now i know that they exist i'll look/ask about them, thanks. i'll see how expensive they are here...thanks guys

well i found some. the cost works out to $0.04 more per egg if you buy them separated. so another $2.24/week if you eat 8 whites/day. but what the hell do you do with egg whites in a carton except make omlette, lol

egg beaters has an egg white only product, in addition to regular egg beaters which are egg whites, yellow coloring, some seasoning, and a little starch so they cook up more like whole eggs.


I posted a protein waffle recipe a while back that uses egg whites :)
