Hey,

Im new to the forums as you can very well tell. I like to browse YouTube and watch all of your videos and success stories for inspiration. I also like to check out what you guys are using. I came across this guy with this video dedicated to Egg Whites International which is pure liquid egg whites in a bottle. Now if it helps any, Im trying to lose weight, but gain muscle, hopefully evening the balance at somewheres around 180 pounds, Im currently 225. Would this be good to use? Hes rattling off 1000 different benefits of this, has anyone else tried this stuff? Is there any disadvantages to it? Why do many people eat egg whites? All I know is hes got me hooked, Im thinking about buying this stuff to mix in with my drinks and such. Im interested to know your experiances or lack there of. Thanks in advance.

-Brian

Why would you use this? Why would you not use fresh eggs and seperate the yolk if you just want the whites?

There are other sources of protein too like chicken; fish, turkey.

Why would someone buy this? But well what do I know.....I think Steve would be right to comment on something like this.

The video looks more like a promo for this product..well these are my thoughts....

dreamtobethin, I agree with you 100%, however I was just wondering to the people who use this, how it is? and if its worth it? The guy was definately promo-ing it, I just wanted to know if hes telling truth or lies

I prefer whole eggs myself - the yolk is where most fothe really good flavor is - otherwise they can be pretty bland -unless you're adding tons of other flavors to it.

For a person who just likes the egg whites, the packaged egg whites are probably cheaper than buying whole eggs and seperating them...

Egg beaters are basically processed egg whites w/ some coloringi n them... (and leave a really nasty film in the pan when you cook them - the ziplock bag method (search this forum or the internet) helps get rid of that film.

egg whites have no magical powers -it's protein you still have to do the work... if you like them - eat them - but don't expect anything else...

very few of the processed egg whites can be beaten to meringue or souflee consistency.. so Istill prefer real eggs...

I may be weird but I only like the egg whites. Something about eating the whole egg makes me feel unhealthy for some reason. I eat a lot of egg whites scrambled with some veggies and different combinations of spices. I buy the whole eggs and separate them just because I also like the boiled egg whites to take with me for lunch on the days i'm babysitting. I'm a vegetarian so its one of my biggest sources of protein. They are also very very low in calories.

yes!!!Egg whites are one of the top sources of protein, Mayo Clinic notes, ranking up there with lean meat, poultry and fish. More than half of a full egg's 6 g of protein, in fact, comes from the white, Self Nutrition Data says. A single egg white offers 4 g of protein without the yolk's fat and other detriments. You'll get no fat, in fact, unless you fry up the egg in greasy oil or butter. Opting for low-fat protein sources as a regular part of your diet can also reduce your risk of heart disease, Mayo Clinic adds...
