Sport Effect of cooking protein in pancakes

Sport Fitness
I had a go at making my own protein pancakes the other day by modifying a recipe I've had for years by adding in some dates and protein powder.

So it goes:

1 egg
1 Teaspoon Sugar
1 cup flour
6-8 tablespoons Protein Powder
2 Cups of Milk
Chopped Dates

I was wondering, first of all, was it a wise idea to add the dates in terms of nutritional value and second of all what effect does cooking the mixture in a fry pan have on the protein powder?

The dates are fine, since they're fruit.

Don't worry about heating protein. If that ruined protein, there would be no benefit to eating a steak.

I would look for substitutes for the sugar and flour.

Any suggestions for replacements for the flour? Why is it so bad?

I guess I could leave the sugar, and add some honey on later for taste.

Are you bulking or cutting? If bulking, it may not be so bad in moderation.

If cutting, it spikes insulin, shutting down lipolysis and the release of fat.

Try splenda.

i make mine using cottage cheese, oats, egg whites, bakin powder, whey, and strawberries, ill use like one scoop of whey to the whole mixture of 3 cups though.
