Eating well to get in shape faster/lose weight? new here

Hello all.

I just got my pass to my local YMCA, and i got a workout plan and so on, but now i am wondering what i should do to help it all work, like eating right and so on to make it faster to lose weight/ get in shape.. Any tips?

That books seems TOO expensive... can you just give me some details?
 
Find a calorie calculator.

For bulking, go like 500+ calories more than your average. For cutting, go like...300 less.

Stay away from saturated and trans fats. ALl other fats are okay.

Get protein for muscle building.

Uh..what else... do 7 reps of of an exercise (7th should be failure), this is bulking exercises.

10 or 12 reps for toning (again should be failure)

Ramen noodles is a nono? heh. Spaghetti is good tho right?
 
Grill the fish. no crumbing or battering. what is string cheese btw? oh skim milk or something. and yeah spag is great for carbs apparently

oh eat tons of vegies as well.
 
string cheese = sticks of chese that people peel off the sides and eat the cheese.
