hi im new and wondering if you can over eat on vegetables ........ i know weird question but i eat about 1500grams eat day i eat 500g raw musrooms , 200g brocc,200g cauli , tones of green beans , heaps of zucchini and spinich, and alot more ................ health wise , is this okay?

I think because most vegetables are whats termned as catabolic, no you cant really go overboard.
Basicly the theory is that (most)veges burn more calories digesting them than they have in them, leaving you eating say 50cals and using 70 to digest, leaving you at -20.
So in effect its actually better for weight loss :)

Personally though, i can only eat so much lol.
You might also want to watch what goes on them or how they are cooked. Cheese sauce is a nasty calorie laden additive, as is mayo or similar stuff. Mashed potatos with cheese/milk, excess salt put on top of stuff is also bad.

You're eating way too much vegetables. Don't think humans are meant to eat too much greens. We're not herbivores.

Eat them in moderation.

I eat loads of vegetables and fruit (not sure of the exact weight), and they certainly don't do me any harm. If you're happy with all those vegetables, and the rest of your diet is varied enough to get all the other nutrients you need, I wouldn't mess with it.

Just make sure you have good balance with all the food groups or have a planned diet where you are getting all the nutrients your body needs.

This is really the best advice. Eating lots of vegetables is good, but you want to make sure that you are not omitting other things you body needs by filling yourself with veggies. Protein (meats) calcium (dairy) and fat (yes, you really need fat in your diet) are important for overall health.

You might want to plan out your meals with a focus on things other than fruits and vegetables . Once you have the minimum amounts down, have as many fruits and vegetables as you want. The crunch of celery and carrots helps a lot of people stick to their diets.
