Sport Eating Late?

Its very common among people to think that eating almost anything after 20h (some say even 18h) is bad for you and can cause weight gain.
Of course, we all know that is not true, but just to clarify things..
How bad is eating late? is it true that eating 1-2-3hours before sleep is bad because your metabolism is getting slower?

So - EATING LATE - is this just another myth?
 
You can eat late np. If you're tryng to loose weight you might find it wiser to put the big meals earlier to give you energy during the day tho.
 
This is a very common myth. But it doesn't really matter when you eat, only how many calories you eat and burn in a day. The only affect it might actually have is on your sleep. If your body is trying to metabolize a heavy meal, while you sleep it might prevent your body from ever entering "REM" sleep or deep sleep which could hinder body repair. As well as energy levels the following day.
