Sport Eating Habits

I'm having a problem with food cravings. I could go to a resturant and eat till I'm full then when I get home I'll be looking for something to eat again. Another question, I heard that it takes calories to digest foods so if this is true then if a package says 300 calories then is that the total or subtract that from the digestion?

There is a base metabolic rate which is around 1200 i.e. the body burns them even while sleeping. Everthing else adds up. Look here

Good question. The answer to "does it take calories to digest food" is yes, of course, but it's nothing to take into account when counting calories.
If you have cravings suck it up, or find something that you enjoy that you can ingest into your diet and still have it be healthy.
You could allow yourself a cheat meal at the end of a prefect week of diet + exercise. I don't think it's worth it personally, but if you absolutely have to go for it. You can't binge and loose weight though. Get your mind off of food and on to something else... like running, boxing, something productive.

Do you have another link with a body fat calculator because I don't know my waist size.

My advice, if you're serious, buy a pincher (caliper)... Doesn't have to be a 300$ one, but a descent one... Because those online BF% calculators are crap.

I think the devil gave you that website for the RMR calculator...

My goal currently is no more Pepsi (or anything related) for me. I'll try to stay off it for 5 months and see what happens.

Loosing Caffine is a GREAT thing to do. I never drank coffee, so it wasn't very hard for me, other than DrPepper. I drank that stuff like it was going out of style. The ONLY time I have anything with caffine in it is when I need to stay up (which RARELY happens). It's poison, bad for you, and give you bad breath! It's not quite as bad a booze, but it too has little to no redeming factors!

Caffeine is a helpful tool in losing weight- if thats your goal. Too much (like anything) can give you undesired side effects.

Pepsi isn't good for weight loss though because of the carbs/sugar/calories (aside from being void of nutrition). Caffeine doesn't do enough to get rid of it all, so yes- its good to avoid.

Don't bother thinking about how many calories your body burns while digesting. The reason you have a nutritional goal of 1500-2000 calories is because thats approximately how much an average adult should be burning in their daily life style. That includes chewing your food.

Besides chewing is negligible. You probably burn more calories watching tv if your heart rate ever changes during your favorite show.

As for the cravings- fill up with water whenever you get one. Its only a temporary solution but then... cravings should only be temporary.
