Sport Eating fat

Sport Fitness
I set my caloric intake and i always manage to stay around it or slightly below it. The question is, if i eat a fair amount of fats ( say 30% of my caloric intake), will this pose problems for me? I eat healthy fats, such as those from natural peanut butter and olive oil, and the rest come from clean sources.

30% is fine, and it sounds like you're getting the healthy fats.

I usually advise no less than 25%, and no more than 35%.

in addition, try to split that 30% evenly between saturated, mono-unsaturated, and poly-unsaturated fat, even shunting saturated fat down to 8% of total calories.

the body needs a certain amount of fat...but going way over that amount, particularly with saturated fat...is what's bad for your heart and arteries.

I would think maybe do like you're thinking and gradually increase until you're up to par.

yeah for real... don't "fear" fat...but don't go crazy either! haha It's gonna keep you satisfied and mobilize your fat stores. Fat is a friend :)
