Sport Eating disorder

So i was kind of unsure where to put this.

A female friend of mine eats very little. Ive told her many times how importaint food is and that she should eat more.
She often has problems i think comes from eating to little, like being tiered all the time, dizzy, she just passed out earlier today (yes she is gonna go to a doctor, before you say that :p ) I think its because she doesnt eat alot, she said it got better once she got some food.
So with the eaing disorder thing, she says its not that she is trying to loose weight, and i belive her, she says that she is just sick and tiered of food, just doesnt want it, you know.

So can that be an eating disorder, just to not want food. i figured since eating disorders is a mental thing it doesnt have to be the whole "i dont eat because i want to loose weight thing" but you could have an eating disorder and not even know it, since you just dont want food..
any thoughts?

Yes, that is an eating disorder and your friend needs to seek proffesional help. You can also refer her to sign up on this site and we can help her with a diet, however it seems that it's not weight loss she is after.

Being sick of food is a serious problem.

yes that is def. an anorexic way of life. That was an excuse I used VERY frequently....b/c in a way I was tired of food b/c I was tired of feeling the way I was anyway, and food made me feel worse...I would feel better when I ate b/c my blood sugar was so low that I was about to pass out and did a few times I would black out.

It took my own decision to break free. Actually I had joined a forum for anorexia and all they did was talk about how depressed and weak they felt all the time. And one day (after eating and feeling halfway alive) I read their posts AND MINE and realized I was a whiner just like they were . I was tired of crying and whining b/c I felt so depressed and deprived. I decided to do this experimental eating normally and giving it time, and I liked it better than being in an anorexic mentality and having to feel so weak all the time.

I felt the will to change. I don't know exactly where it came from, but I credit alot of it to God...and all of those people who I reached out to and who prayed for me, and I still struggle. But its worth it. So don't be too pushy but be straightforward.

thanks for your replies. She agreed to tell her doctor about it when she went to see him, it dident seem like she thought it could be an eating disorder at all, but i think she will tell the doc. Hopefuly she will be able to get over it :)
atleast she'll have my support.
