Alright so, I get the general idea of what would be better. Whole wheat over refined, naturals over artificials, veggies and fruits, natural carbs...ect.

Though I'll never be miss organic, unprocessed vegan woman.

I have a few questions that weigh on my mind:
-I love pasta, so is 50% whole wheat pasta, serving size and used with a sensible sauce...well is that ok to eat daily or is it something to do less than that? I don't really eat it daily, but almost daily. I know we can't say brand names but it's about 200 cals for 2 ozs and I usually use a cup of tomato sauce, sometimes 100% natural, sometimes not.
-If I am using whole wheat bread, tortillas and stuff, is there a limit I should be looking for? Like if I have a sandwich should I avoid pasta or tortillas later, or god forbid all in one day?
-How much water should I be getting? The eight glasses of eight ozs a day? I am getting about 10-15 glasses, but I am peeing all the time. So maybe I am overduing it?
-I drink about 1-2 diet sodas a day, aside from water and my one cup of coffee in the morning. Should I be trying to give this up because of the aspartame, because to be honest I would probably just replace them with crystal light which I think have the same thing. Do you guys recommend a beverage with little or no calories that isn't plagued with aspartame?

I guess that's all, oh yeah, how limiting should I be on the cheese or should I go fat free?

=)

Edit: And and and, aside from sweet potatoes, I eat those little ones that are about 100 cals for a medium sized one and I cut them in half. People always say potatoes are starchy and empty carbs, but I really like the way they taste and I don't think I overdue it, and they fill me up. So is it alright if I keep eating them?
