i am going to try the eat stop eat program and when you do resistance training i know the post workout shake is the most important so the days you fast on the program and lift weights how would that affect your body when you do not consume a shake after a workout.

Depends - if you've never done much lifting before, probably not too much. However, there are studies that indicate getting a mix of protein + carbs after workout can help muscle gain and inhibit muscle breakdown. Of course, a nice tall glass of chocolate milk can do the trick there.

Personally I haven't done Eat, Stop, Eat, but I have been doing some Intermittent Fasting ala leangains.com.

yea i have been lifting for like 7 years and ive been going at it hard since jan. I just dont wanna loose anything by these fast but ive heard they do great for fat loss as long as there 24 hours fast only. What intermittent fast have u been doing

- the idea is to 'fast' for 16 hours of the day, and also to schedule higher calorie days around your lifting. This is a daily fast of 16 hours with a window of 8 hours to eat your food etc. He also recommends having doing your workout at the beginning of your eating cycle, and then feeding yourself for the rest of the time to maximize the anabolic effect. Of course, his website explains it far better than I can :D

ill def check it out thanks alot for the reply
