Eat-Clean Diet

I picked up a copy of the Eat Clean diet a few days ago. I've been reading through it and it sounds really great! It's not really a 'diet' it's all about making lifestyle changes.

Does any one have comments about the Eat Clean diet? Have you heard any negatives about it?

I don't want to eat Mr. Clean. :puke:

Tosca reno's pictures freak me out.. she's just scary lookig and needs to get out o fthe tanning booth.

Oxygen Magazine (not related to Oprah -but a women's fitness magazine) pimps it...

Nothing wrong with eating clean -but there are people who are alittle obsessive about it...

i'd rather see people eat whole foods rather than lean not cuisine or other prepackaged meals...

Uh oh...better not look in my freezer then, lol. I just stocked up on some lean not cuisines and similar box foods. But I'm doing better over all :) I kicked the fast food except for an occasional pizza or bucket of chicken and I'm cooking dinner. Gettin my freezer cooking done so maybe I can start replacing some of the box stuff with my own cooking done up. I love your ideas you posted in another thread, like the pb and banana on pita. I have a ton of cooking stuff like soy flour, oat flour, wheat bran and other baking stuff left over from my low carbing though and I'm gonna have to find recipes to use it up that taste good. Any suggestions?

Oh and I didn't know who Tosca Reno was...I had to look her up, lol.

there's lots i have for oat flour, wheat bran and such - I'm not a fan of soy flour -I've used it a few times and just gives off a really off smell when it bakes.

you want sweet or savory type things...
(they also have an awesome whole grains cookbook)

are two resources that have tons of recipes using grains...

Probably more savory but sweet would be good too if I didn't make too much at once. I have milled flax seed and a ton of vital wheat gluten flour too...not sure what to do with that either. And a huge canister of whey protein powder but that I'm sure I can use for shakes or something. It was for a bread recipe. Man I don't miss the low carbing!! I worked so hard being inventive to lose so little weight, lol.

And I could probably dump the soy flour cuz I noticed that too. But if I found a use for the other stuff I'd feel better that I hadn't wasted any more money than I already have.
