Early Training>Does it Bulk You Up? Or Stunt Growth?

Hi, I was wondering... I do gymnastics a lot, and i've been doing it for 2-3 years now. However, recently I heard that doing gymnastics at an early age, or strength training like that can keep you from growing taller and bulks you up quicker. Is that true? I'm 13, 5'2" (that's pretty short in my school) and wiegh 104 lbs. Lots of my long time gymnastic friends are short, too.
Also, I'm pretty slender all around but my thighs are muscular. Whenever I do cardio (i went to the gym a few days ago and did 3 hours of ellipticals) I end up a with a little less fat but I bulk up, too. Does anyone know an excercise to get rid of inner thighs, without the bulk? :D

growth

Well what you need to do is make sure you eat plenty of protein. If possible eat 5-6 small meals a day each one containing protein. That is, egg whites, turkey, chicken, tuna, sea food, meats, etc. Protein is what your body need to grow, when you exercise your muscles need protein as well to rebuild themselves, so you need to make sure you're eating enough. Also you need to eat lots of vegetables, your body needs the vitamins for proper nutrition and growth. As for inner thighs, there is a machine which you sit in with your legs open in a scissor possition and it puts pressure against the legs as you close them. If that machine is not available then you can do the leg press machine with your feet really wide and make sure you're knees go down to about your armpits. Do light weight and 20-25 reps so you don't bulk up. and at least 3 sets.

Hope I helped:D
