I've heard some dry fruit like almonds and walnuts are good. But what about dried figs, apricots and prunes? . And how much of each of these can one safely have without crossing the line?

Figs, Apricots & Prunes are all rich in dietary fibre which is good, and are healthy as a snack or added to breakfast cereal, however you need to be careful as they are pretty high in sugar content & calories..its a case of being sensible...it also depends if you count calories, then weigh out an 'allowance' for each day..then you can't 'pick' your way into problems!

Insert broken record here:

Read labels of the dried fruit... Much of it (especially the less expensive brands) inclulde palm oil and even worse High Fructose Corn Syrup as an ingredient... As long as what you're eating is fruit, fruit and only fruit -then factor in those calories and enjoy...
