I know egg whites have an unbelievable amount of protein so just about every night I drink a cup of raw egg whites. I feel cooking them too much time consuming so I just drink them right off the carton. I know about salmonella risks and stuff but they're pasteurized so does that mean they are salmonella free?

Help with this would be awesome.

I do the same thing. I mixed a raw pasteurized egg with my protein drinks. Using pasteurized are safe, because the pasteurization process in the only proven way to eliminate bacteria and germs. And thats exactly what happens with pasteurized eggs. They go through a natural heat process that eliminates germs and the risk of salmonella. Very similar to the pasteurization of milk. So yes that are very safe. I usually recommend them to everyone I can, especially around this season, when people are making cookies and eggnog, which called for raw eggs in their recipes.
