Sport Drinking enough water

Sport Fitness
Hi guys.

The last couple weeks I have been aiming everyday to drink 1.2-1.5 litres of water (I eat a lot of fruit) and Im really having trouble doing so. I feel like Im forcing it into myself and it makes me feel really full, a little too full sometimes that my stomach actually hurts for a while. Im not drinking large amounts in big hits. Probably around 100-150ml every 30 minutes. Will my body get use to it? As before I adopted this I drank a lot of soda. And any tips to help with coping with it? Thanks

You shouldn't need to force down water when you drink it. Just keep a bottle of water at your side all day long and have a few sips every now and then before/when you start getting thirsty. If you're feeling bloated on water, you've probably already had enough.

As he said.
I drink at least 2, sometimes over 3 litres of water just during my working day by doing exactly this. I take sips frequently rather than glugging a load and you never notice it.
Water was the part of my diet I got wrong for so many years. Correcting it literally added kilos to my maximum lifts within weeks. It is one of the most important things you can do.

I am doing my best to drink small amounts frequently but I am extremely active in my work, never once sitting down until lunch so I have to keep making visits to the fridge. It feels a bit easier to stomach at night when Im inactive so I've been getting a couple of big glasses in then.

Water from the fridge is nice, and cold liquids leave the stomach quicker, I think. However if it means you aren't drinking I would say ditch the reliance on the fridge. Carry a bottle of water with you, even a hip flask full of water if needed but have water with you.
I have run a number of marathons, an activity that impacts the stomach continuously for a few hours and was always able to take a drink when needed by keeping to small amounts. That is the key, your body will be able to do virtually anything it can with an empty stomach with a mouthfull or two of water in it.
