Sport Drink, enough water.

Well generally speaking esp. when taking supplements it's great to drink a lot of water.Personally speaking, i have a difficult time drinking the required amount of water. Do you have any tips.So any expert and professional person please share here.Thanks.

Just have a full bottle of water on your person throughout the entire day. You'll end up keeping yourself hydrated without having to think about it.

What many people don't realise is there is water in the foods you eat and that should be included in your daily water intake.

hi
Its just easy if you don't have time to drink water , you will just bring tumbler or small water jar that you can carry. Drink water is one of our basic needs in our body remember that. be good :)

I used to do the whole small bottle thing for a while but I found that a 1 litre plastic bottle that I recycled worked better because I never forgot with it always being in my line of sight.. That way I could sort of gage how much I had to drink with the rest of the day. Also getting a thing to put in the fridge and clean the water.. Mind blank to what they are called rofl. Adding lime/lemon/ice can make it taste better. If you have an iPhone you can get an app to record when you drink water and maybe when you meet your goals you can reward your self with new shoes or something . At first drinking water can be boring.. But if you stick at you start to really crave it and enjoy the taste. I have found it challenge though because your body can send out the same signals for being hungry when your body is actually wanting water.

Lots of good advice here.

Also, I find it's great to get into the habit of having a large amount of water (e.g. 500ml or around 17 fl. oz.) every morning as soon as you get up. That'll give you a good head start :)

Mmm, no. Not really. Drinking a ton of water at once will do nothing more except send you running to the bathroom. Sure, you can drink a lot of water at once, but your body will only absorb so much into its tissues before just excreting the rest. That's why it's better to simply drink small, gradual amounts throughout the entire day.

Very interesting. Will try to do this more.

Keep in mind, your hydration status itself helps to regulate the rate of absorption of water that you consume. So when you're more dehydrated, drinking more water at once IS better. However, first thing in the morning does not tend to be a time when you're parched (unless you had some crazy night-sweats), since your body more or less brings your urine production down to a snail's crawl while you sleep.

Even more interesting.

Can you recommend some good foods that carry a lot of water?
Also,
when I was on my 10km run the other day they were handing out Gatorade and water for hydration.. what would you grab? what's your take on Gatorade?

Gatorade is basically a sugar and electrolyte replacer. While this does have its place in sports, your body generally doesn't need to replenish its carbs and minerals until after about 90 minutes of sweating.

Right I'll grab water when I run past then.
Ha - I think I just grabbed the Gatorade because of the taste towards my sugar addiction.
I might just steer completely clear of the stuff. An apple is a good way to go if you crave sugar too.
Thanks man. ;)

When I had my Urinary Track Infection, my doctor told me to drink at least 2 Liters of water a day. I was like shocked when I heard of that because I know I can't drink that much water. But I challenged myself to do it so what I did is that I have a glass/tumbler of water near me all the time (e.g. during work, while watching T.V). I do it because every time I see the container on my desk, I feel obligated to drink water and before I know it, I finished my 2 Liters a day without even realizing it. So I hope that helps.
