Sport 'doping' for my exams

Sport Fitness
Hey there!
I'm having final exams starting tomorrow. They'll consume 8 consecutive hours of work per day (Monday to Friday) as well as only 5 hours on the next two Saturdays (tomorrow and the 20th) coming. Now, after being finished with my studies (finally!), it dawned to me that I had forgotten something pretty important in order to survive.. well.. eating. Since I'll be locked in for 8 hours straight I won't be able to bbq me some nice chicken or something... but sandwiches would work I guess. But actually this isn't my main concern. I asked myself: what should I eat for maximum concentration? I'm not sure if I should like drink lots of coffee with lots of sugar and the like... after all I need to get up the next day and be ready to rock again. Also I wouldn't really want to **** up my nutritional habits too badly.. However, just a second later you, my dear nutrition gurus, crossed my mind! :D Any suggestions, anyone?

yea the sandwhich idea is good hide it in a bag and when no ones looking munch on it. trust me your talking to a former fat man so i know how it feels school sux doesnt it also try high protein bars and what not thatll help man. like a powerbar or trioplex bar or something eat like you normally do but sneak it in ya know what I'm saying or do what I do ask to use the bathroom and then eat there works everytime oh and get to sleep at a good time plenty of sleep is not only a good idea its essential for a recharged mind and get up at a good enough time and by all means "EAT BREAKFAST" thatll help you charge your day so you'll be full of nutrients so you can start your day so your body as well as your brain can work effectivly better then loading your coffee with all that white death. hope i helped cuz I'm still figuring stuff out for myself

Thanks for your suggestion! Fortunately I don't even have to hide anything since we're allowed to eat.. otherwise people would starve! I'll have a good breakfast for sure, I'm having them every morning anyways. I was just wondering if there is anything that's 'stimulating' in some way - without tiring me on the long run so I'm not burned out after the first three days already.
Another question: I'm used to do some cardio in the morning. Should I rather sleep instead of getting up early and go on a run?

dear god, where are you taking finals?? in my many years at college, i never had a final longer than 3 hours slated, and they never took more than 90 mins to complete.

8 hrs of solid exams is retarded. after 5 hours most people will be starving and by 7 they'll have such low blood sugar they'll be making stupid mistakes on easy questions.

Yes, I agree... I also think it's pretty rough. I'm not from the States, in fact I'm currently residing and graduating in Austria.
As I already mentioned, people are encouraged to eat during exams - you're free to take a break whenever you want. You've got 8 hours to solve the assignment - everything else is up to you. Of course breaks are counted in in those 8 hours.
I think I'll skip morning cardio tomorrow and sleep one more hour... move it to the afternoon. I'll take salmon/chicken sandwiches with me, also a few apples and water. That should help, eh? :)
Thx guys.

He said he's allowed to eat, but his question is what would be a good food for concentration. Sorry bro can't help you but hada input since people were reading your question wrong. Since your going for coffee and lots of sugar, get 4-pack of Redbull or Monster that stuff always wires me up. Good breakfast like ^^^^ said is a good start.

BTW, good luck

Hey,
Today I had my first day of finals. Only 5 hours though, on Monday I'll have 8 for the first time. I did pretty well I think.. although I began to lack concentration in the end. Maybe I'll take some dextrose with me on Monday.. or some more fruits at least. I ate a few sandwiches with salmon and (just?) one apple... combined with water. Although I tried not to drink as much water as I do usually, since it makes me run off to the bathroom which is an issue since there are about 50 people doing exams simultaneously and only one person is permitted to go to the bathroom at a time. Err.. yeah ;)
Thanks for wishing me luck Brahma, I think it helped!
Vitamins.. do you think a few apples can do the job? Thanks also.

i would probably bring some indian food and some really heavy garlic and spicy asian food and some mexican burritos and other very smelly and dirty food to distract everyone else from their studies. That way your score would look higher up than others.
