I will exercise 2-3 hours a day
I plan to eat 1350 cals a day
I am 244 lbs 5'5 female 23yrs

I want to lose between 4-5lbs a week I KNOW 2lbs is the supposed healthy way but I want this weight gone now and I know I wont die bc the people of the biggest loser dont die and they lose like 15-20lbs a week!

I really want to lose 50lbs by May. I know its possible esp at my weight bc Im so heavy now and I know it comes off fast when your heavier. Please help me!
I have alot of time on my hand and I just joined a gym and planning to go food shopping tomorrow to get all healthy foods.

Thank U

Honestly, I think you're setting yourself up for failure. That is a lot of exercise and a few days in you're probably going to be sick of it. You have to build yourself up. Start by exercising 20 minutes, then increase to 30, then an hour. The people on the Biggest Loser are also forced to work out, when you're at home you are more likely to binge.

This is my opinion:

No. You're diet plan needs adjusting. For the most part it sounds like you already know why.

Losing around 1% of your body weight a week is healthy and at your weight that's 2.4lbs. This is to prevent health problems developing (gallbladder stones just to name one).

The biggest Loser isn't even based off of a real 7 day "week". Not to mention, those people are at numbers that allow them to lose more than a normal person especially since they are forced to run marathons. It isn't "real life". It's a tv show.

You want to exercise 2-3HRs a day? I think that depends on what you will be doing. Otherwise it's a bit much especially if you are new to exercising. Not to mention "rest days" are recommended to prevent wearing your body out. Working our 7 days a week at 2-3 hours a day is a little....

As for the 1350 calories a day well.... Your RMR is estimated around 2800 with moderate exercise. So I wouldn't start at such a low calorie count. Usually, depending on what article you read or what fitness coach you talk to, 500-1000 is the deficit range. So you are looking at about 2300-1800 calories per day with moderate exercise to start off. You need to keep giving your body what it needs. Don't try to go so extreme. Don't risk your health trying to get healthy.

Also, I wanted to end by saying this: You are trying to lose around 50 pounds in 2 1/2 months. That's roughly 20lbs a month (5lbs a week continuously). Sometimes when people try to lose weight really fast like this, they end up failing to do it in the first place or they gain it all back in the end. I don't know if you will take any of this advice but, you should try to do it at a more steady pace. That way, you develop good habits that will last forever.

It shouldn't be a destination to a number, it should be a lifestyle change. That change should be something you can live with long-term. Change your lifestyle and let the weight take care of itself.

Health, fitness, weight control isn't about reaching a number and then it's over. It isn't over. It is a lifelong change in mindset, habits, routines, choices, etc. Does that make sense? I hope so. Sure there can be periods of more intense training, rest, etc. but you need to ease into it or you could get an injury that will set you back for a good while.

I kind of jumped in too quick to running and my right knee is killing me. I went back to walking (intermediate fast and slow with varying inclines) every other day and my knee is fine. With more build-up and weight lost, I can work into running slowly over time.

I hope this helps.

thanks for answering everyone
