Other people's respiratory problems? I've been having to listen to my roommate suck four hundred tons of snot through his sinuses every day for the past month. It's like his mommy never taught him to blow his damn nose.

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person on this planet that can't stand all those noises... is there anyone else?

Oh god it can get annoying. But everyone can get a blocked nose. I don't make a deal out of it.

have you told him how annoying it is? he's not gonna even try to correct it if he doesn't realize it's a problem.

sometimes in school theres no tissues and i get a runny nose. i cant blow it so you cant just let it drip out...

and plus if you think hearing it is annoying, im sure the person with the resperatory problems are even more annoyed by it.

Yeah, during summer I can get a runny nose. It gets annoying especially if you are in a position where you can't really go and get a tissue. But you have to give people a week or so before you start complaining about it.

Well yeah, I don't mind if it happens here or there, but he's been doing this for well over a month, and let me tell you, I love getting woken up by his sneeze fests.

Could try shoving two bits of rolled up toilet paper into his nose. That always works. Or pinch his nose. Then he'll wake up pissed as hell, but it's always funny

Oh man. I had a massive asthma attack last week that nearly did me in. People with allergies are having a hard time this year. Since then, I've been having tons of post-nasal drip and an unrelenting cough. So I'm probably sounding like your friend.

I guess because I grew up having allergies, I can empathize lots with people who have respiratory problems. Sometimes, there's just NOTHING that I can do except to ride it out. I do try to be aware of it and not cough too much in public, but sometimes it just completely sneaks up on me and I have no choice. So when someone at work for example is having a coughing fit, unless they're really rude about it or have something terribly contagious, I feel really bad for them.
