The following has been doing the rounds on the net for a while :-
internet propaganda machine said:
1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl . . . Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean.

4. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

5. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

6. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

7. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

8. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan;rap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

9. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, And run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FYI:

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It's pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.

2. To carry Coca Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly Corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years! Drink up! No joke. Think what coke and other soft drinks do to your teeth on a daily basis. A tooth will dissolve in a cup of coke in 24-48 hours.

IMHO drink 8 glasses of water as part of a calorie controlled diet.

wow thanks haha is this true thou?? haha i never knew

Yeah loads of water mmmmmmm, i usually spice it up with orange/lemon squash- the no added sugar one

The most important thing to remember about diet coke above all else is that it is not water
"But it has water in it"
yeah well so does mud
Drink lots of water every day and do not add your coke into your quota

understand that it has aspartame in it which like all artificial sweeteners increases appetite. Personally I do not mind this as I am fanatically active and welcome the extra weight.

I have read unconfirmed studies in a number of unreliable sources (unreliable does not mean false) saying that when people witch from diet to sugary that they LOSE weight partly from the hunger going away but also from the toxic effect that diet cola has.

What has been confirmed is that aspartame is liked to cancer by a whole lot. I am hearing more and more that the stuff is so dangerous that it should never have been approved. I know some diet drinks are switching to splenda which I can't say enough good things about. The stomach aches are 1/50 as bad as sugar or aspartame and tastes way way better. It does still induce hunger

I hope I do not need to go into too much detail about normal coke. That is a buttload of sugar and will not nothing but a whole lotta bad for you.
You choose your own involvement in your health so I won't tell you how much is too much but it is way out for me.

Thanks for the info Mr.Ninjaface, i will stick to lager to in the pubs/clubs then.

Ive heard tht coca cola used to have cocaine in it.

i really dont like seeing people drink the stuff no more lol

You should never rely on Coca-Cola or McDonalds to tell you the truth. If that was on an independent website like the Government or Health authorities then that would be another story. Have you ever seen McDonalds or KFC writing how many calories their stuff has? (I don't know since I've never been to McDonalds or KFC for a long long time).

The bad thing about big commercial soft drinks is that the non diet versions have High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). HFCS in large quantities can possibly be linked to diabetes. When you consume it, you body does not recognize it as food and you don't become satisfied, you then consume more and more until your blood sugar has gone way out of hand. Then there are all of the nasty things that artificial sweeteners could be doing to your body. The carbonation in soda also sucks calcium from your body. That's not good either. I would say, limit your consumption of soda. You seem to be doing pretty well. I know some people who can't survive without 3 or 4 cans a day.

eww 3 or 4 cans a day lol, i could never do that

btw: i dont belive the coca cola site above the why i put haha

I am not saying I am a fan of HFCS, but it is misleading to say
quantities can possibly be linked to diabetes
there has only been one study to show any difference with HFCS and even that one I have issues with. That being said I still think eat pure in general, just makes sense to me BUT you shouldn't be putting false information around in that manner and insinuating fact.

Also that site linked to above is REALLLY incorrect. The caffeine statements alone are just hilarious.
