do you have to be a certain weight for an elliptical machine?

Elliptical Machines have Weight Limits

All elliptical machines have a specific weight limit, based on the quality of the trainers' parts and engineering. The more expensive the machine, the higher the weight limit is. The average weight limit for most elliptical machines is 300 lbs but the better quality machines will allow a user up to 400lbs (from what I have seen). Minimum user weight limits do not exist.
