Do you have "goal pants"

I have two pairs of pants in my dresser drawer that are my "goal pants". They are way to small for me, I def can't get them up over my gigantic bum, but I keep them and take them out and gaze fondley at them every so often. They are both a size 10, right now I am in a size 14, a tight 14...
Does anybody else do this, or am I a weirdo?

I have a cute pair of jeans...they are 9 or 11's. I'm wearing 13/15 now.

and Iknow i've talked about this multiple times...

I have one dress - ablack size 8 donna karan hanging in the closet -that is my final destination.. but that is not motivating for me because it's too far off... and it doesn't seem like i will ever get there - or worse -i should have been there already.

I have continually bought a size smaller thanI currently am and use as my get my fat lazy buttin gear.... i will try the outfit on every week or so and eventually it fits... then i get new clothes to wear.. (and immediately get rid of or have tailored the too big clothes now because I want no excuses to back slide- i've given away a ton of clothes)

those boobs are pretty easy to buy...

I dunno about that. I've been making her offers for months now. Turned down, every time. :(

Hey, you don't happen to know what a "restraining order" is, do you? I think maybe she's into the kink.

it was suggested by a co-worker *cake lady* that I take my goal pants to the gym with me to keep me motivated since I was toying with the idea of skipping for the third consecutive day. I made it though, and without the damn pant. I did come home and pull them out of the drawer and try to squeeze into them. 20 more lbs should do it...just 20 more lbs...for a total of 22...
*hangs head in defeat...*

I would love to be a comfortable size 8 (US4). They currently fit me in the leg but the waist and hips is the problem...

Once a week -- try them on... and if you're brave - take a picture (you don't have to post the pics until they do fit... ) but the progression you'll see will really amaze you... and those pants will fit eventually

(note: the picture idea isn't original to me -there's a blog i've seen on the web that she's chronicled her weight loss journey (thru surgery) but she's crabby just like me :D and her pictures are pretty cool...

a while back I had bought a pair of "skinny for me" jeans -that didn't fit - and every week I tried them on... and every week they didn't fit... until one day they fit - then eventually they made it to the giveaway pile...

you CAN do 20lbs... one size at a time... you will get there...

I have several, like steps, lol. My ultimate is a pair of jeans I wore at age 37 when I got down to about 125. They are low rise with flowers embroidered on the bells, and I have an uber sexy leather halter top that I wore with them. Once, only once, sigh.

I reached a point this year, when my 14 jeans were too tight that I said, that's it, no more jeans until I can wear these. I haven't tried them, but I'm pretty sure they'd be fine. Then I have some Mudd jeans I can wear in the high 150's, some button flies I can wear in the 140's . . . you get the drift.

Like Mal, the embroidered jeans and halter top seem like an impossible dream right now. But I have cherished those clothes for 7 years, with fleeting hope.

I have two pairs of jeans that fit me and fortunately with my job I wear those stretchy black windbreaker pants to work to help dry faster and they always fit. I have a whole closet full of jeans that will fit someday, hopefully someday soon. Making a picture log using one pair of jeans or a whole outfit is a great idea posted above, I may do that with my favorite pair.

Size 10 from high school

They are so cute on my butt...mind you, high school was 10yrs ago...but it's a goal!

I have LOTS of goal clothes. Several pairs of jeans that I have kept from my skinny pre-pregnancy, pre-steroid (for medical reasons) days. These are mostly clothes that will only fit me when I reach goal.

I do have a goal clothes ritual: Every time I reach a new size, I go out and buy and outfit that I LOVE in the next size down. I take a pic of myself in them and then I take another pic when they finally fit. This time I bought two outfits. One is a gorgeous dress that is somewhat fittingin the abdomen. The other is a hip pair of capris and a WHITE (I never buy white) top that is sheer with a halter underneath. This is an outfit that I am going to have to muster some guts to wear when I am able to fit it. I think I am about 10-15 pounds away.

haha... I didn't know so many others did this. My friends and I make jokes about pants/shorts that I buy just 1 size smaller than I can wear. We call them "incentive pants." I was finally able to wear the last 2 pairs of incentive pants last week! Sadly... I ripped the shorts by showing my friends how to do some squats! So embarrassing!!! but! It's another reason to go my next pair of incentive pants!

I've done this too.

I have a pair of skinny black jeans that are from several years ago... you know about that saying that if you hold on to something long enough they'll be in style again? These taper all the way down to the ankle, and hug the calves. When I was at my heaviest before getting serious about losing weight I couldn't even get these much past my knees! Now they're back in the rotation of clothing I can wear.

Bought a couple pairs of 'incentive pants' too. I have a fondness for BDU pants, especially in urban camo. I had the size large that I was barely getting buttoned at my heaviest, then realized they were starting to get baggy. Bought a pair in medium to wear then, and a pair in small for incentive. I'm in the smalls now, and they are starting to fit a lot looser than they were. I may need to go for the extra smalls.

The one thing I am regretting having gotten rid of is a black leather pencil skirt that I thought I'd never fit in again. That would have been the ultimate incentive right there, since now it could be a reality to fit in that skirt again.:banghead:

I have some of the size six jeans I wore in high school, and I have a dress that I got in France that was the smallest size on the rack (those dresses were sized 1-4, not a standard size in France) and a pair of jeans I bought in France that are a French size 32; that is supposed to be a US size 2/UK size 4 but they must run big because they were once loose on me and a US size 2 was on the tight side for me.

THOSE are my true goal clothes but I don't think I'll really ever be able to wear them again, especially the dress. Hardly anyone ever gets down to their high school size again, especially when their high school size was so freaking small.

I sure do

On a good morning I can fit into them, but as the day goes on they're oh so tight haha

No "goal pants", but I do have some "goal tops". One is a t-shirt I had made up for my crew of friends that I couldn't fit anymore, one is my favourite jumper that I got when I was at my lightest, and another is a Jerome Bettis jersey that's never been worn yet.

I miss Jerome Bettis. "Bettis" was my husbands nickname in highschool football. The Steelers will never be the same...*sigh*

Heck yes. The Bus was my favourite running back. He could pound it up the middle he was so big, but real light on his feet as well and could occasionally take it outside as well.
