Do I need to lose weight?

People tell me every now and then that I should try to lose weight, eat better, exercise more, etc. The thing is, I don't think I'm really that fat. Sure, I have a little bulge, but it's nothing huge. I'd say if 1 is anorexic, and 10 is morbidly obese, I'd be about a 6. So anyway, I came here to ask for you guys' opinion. Just so you know, my belly is a little over 35" in these pictures, but it's usually around 36". I hadn't eaten yet.

You should do what you want, not because someone else says you should, but b/c it's what you want.

That said, abdominal fat is the worst kind... as in correlated to the highest chance of disease.

:iagree: what he said.

In my opinion, which may or may not amount to much...

I would work on losing the belly fat, like Steve said, it is the worst place to store fat as it is closer to the heart and causes all kinds of havoc.

So as far as a 'diet', no, but maybe you'd want to change your eating habits all together, and excersise more.

Focus on being healthy. Are you eating healthy? Are you exercising?

It's your decision, ultimately if you become healthier, you will lose weight. Possibly people were only commenting because they are concerned. I would rather tell a loved one sooner rather than later about the benefits of being healthy before too much damage is done or they become obese.

No matter the size of your body you should be eating healthy and exercising t a degree every day.

It strange cause the rest of you looks thin, except your belly. Do you drink a lot? If so cut back on that, and some ab exercises can help and basic cardio. I don't think it will take you long to do this. Good luck!

Blimey, I didn't know that about the tummy fat. Even more reason for me to lose weight... my tummy is one of my biggest problem-areas!!

Oh and I agree with what's already been said... it's really your call at the end of the day, you wont get anywhere unless you really want it for yourself.
