Cholesterol is one of the important factors of the body, it is used to produce many hormones, vitamin D, and the bile acids that help to digest fat. But we all know it is very harmful if we have high cholesterol, increased cholesterol means that you have an increased risk of getting cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease. You should need to check your cholesterol level to stay fit and healthy.
Cholesterol is of two type one is good and another is bad.
HDL (high density lipoprotein) cholesterol is known as "good" cholesterol.
LDL (low density lipoprotein) cholesterol is a bad cholesterol.
Cholesterol should be always stay below 200 mg/DL. Blood taste is used for checking cholesterol. It is an important factor to keep your cholesterol at the right level. I Use natural supplement for it. I personally think it is the best way to be on track. What you people do to balance your cholesterol level?

Thanks for your informative post.

I take also but I don't think that it is the only best way to be on track, there are other factors that are as important such Balance Diet, Exercise, Stress reduction, etc.

I did take a lipid profile to determine my cholesterol count. To prevent any irregularities in my cholesterol count we are we are engaged in routine exercise, taking , staying active to burn more calories(effective burning triglyceride), determining what is the best diet plan to follow, trying to as much as possible to reduce stress. I don't know about "blood taste to check cholesterol and how it would keep our cholesterol at the right level"?

Cholesterol is one of the most misunderstood things in medacince. There are people with high cholesterol who dont get heart attacks and there are people with low cholesterol who do get heart attacks. You need cholestorol to live. What is more important are triglyceride levels and ratio of HDL:LDL. A very
good read for people interested in learning about cholesterol: The Great Cholesterol Myth. It is in Amazon.

I take simvastatin.
