Discovered a lump?

Hi,

Im a active jogger/runner/bicyclist. I seem to have discovered a small lump in my lower groin. I cant so much as see it as feel it. I dont feel it/see it when I first get up in the morning, it seems to be after I eat, like after lunch. Its about the size of a small marble under the skin, low in my groin, close to base of my *****. If I rub it it seems to go away. Its small. It does hurt a little if i press up against it/push it. But not like piercing pain. More a dull sensation/light burning, maybe. Do you guys think this is anything. It isnt a constant thing, like this morning i didnt feel anything at all. How do I go to a Dr. itf i get there and it isnt there?

Im kinda confused on what to do here. Could this just be like tendon , that pushes out when my stomach gets full or something?

Thanks

There are many educated individuals on this site however, this is not the right place to ask this bro.

You need to see a licensed Doctor ASAP.

I'll second that!
No one can diagnose you over the internet. Get to a doctor. Hopefully it is nothing threatening.

could just be a syst, but a full exam will determine what it is. hopefully it is nothing serious, but definitely make an appt. w/your dr. even if it's your regular family dr. and don't panic cause it could just be nothing. but, your dr. is the only one who will know what it is and you should for sure go see him right away just to be on the safe side. better to be safe than sorry. good luck to you and keep us posted.

Thanks for the comments/advice/suggestions guys. I took your guys advice and I had it checked out.

It was what I was feared its a hernia. I've decided to have it operated on ASAP. Have surgery set for the 19th of this month. Dr. said he didnt forsee any complications, and that me being as skinny as I am, actually a good thing in this case.

Thanks for the advice. I will let you know know how it all goes. Really sucks though, he said I shouldnt really run or bike for at least 2 weeks. Its hard to imagine taking it easy for 2 weeks or more. However it could of been worse, so the moral of the story is if something doesnt feel right, its best to be checked out, Im glad I did.

Brett

good luck with the surgery, hope you'll be feeling better soon. it's only two weeks of rest, you have your whole life ahead of you to workout. just take it easy and focus on feeling better after surgery. ;)
