Ok, today is the day!

Today is August 22nd 2005. I have 98 kg or 216 pounds. I am fat. I am uncomfortable in my skin and clothes. I feel terrible. My back hurts. I started sleeping on my back, becuse my stomach is in the way. I barely managed to climb up on the boat while my wife and son watched me struggle with my weight. :(

I went on a wedding and borrowed cloths from my father-in-law who is 55. I could barely wear them. For Christ sake!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

I wear same pants every day becuse they are the only one i can squizze in.

I took pictures of myself yesterday. Its horror. Look at them every day. I wrote the 98,5 kg on my monitor just to remaind me.

My goals:

1. Loose at least 18,5 kg or 40 pounds by 01.01.2006.
2. Stop drinking during week days, and drink only on Saturday with friends
3. Go running at least 5 times a week for at least 30-45 minutes.
4. Eat and drink healthy
5. Spend more quility (talking, reading books, walking, soccer, bike) time with my wife and son

Welcome to the forum, it sounds like you have some good goals set for your self, 40lbs by Jan.im sure you can make it, nice to have you aboard!! looking forwards to reading your posts :)

Unbelievable, I was put on test not more then 1 hour after my post, on the first day!

I went to the parking lot in front of my work to find my car bumped by a runaway truck :mad: :mad: :mad:

Now i have to pay for repair by mayself, it will cost me 500$. Oh how I would need a cold one to cool me of... :rolleyes:

But i will not do that. I will go running afterwards to get it off my mind.

Talk about a test! yeah i find jogging really helps me relieve stress, just you and your thoughts and the rythmic pounding something very soothing about it. hope your still holding on! :)
 
Good for you!! I'm with Smiley here. I never realized how much good a jog could do for stress relief.

Sorry about your car. I got a crack in my windshield once because of a stupid gravel truck was driving ahead of me. I always stay far behind them, because I was afraid of exactly that happening, and it nailed me anyway. :mad:

A nice long jog always leaves me feeling better than a nice long session with the fridge. :D Good choice.

It was OK in the end. I came home, had a light lunch, played with my son, went to grocery store ( i spent 2 and half hours there, speaking of losing time reding Nutrition facts on all the labels :) )

Came home, visited neighboors and in the end WENT JOGGING :) :) :) around 23.00.

I was satisfied, it was 8 laps around old atletic track in the army barracs. I will try to add one lap every other day. Few pushups and that was it.

Came home, felt much more relaxed than in previous few months.

P.S. One more decision: I will measure my weight on Mondays, instead on Fridays, you probably know the reason. I will not fool myself that I lost a ton on week days and then i could eat a little bit more on weekend.
