Hello,

I am new to the group. I was a collegiate athlete many moons ago but learned a few things over the years and hope it can help at least one person.

Why is a diet a mental challenge?

First off I have to say, the greatest motivation comes when you are Sick and Tired of being Sick and tired. You wake up one morning and look in the mirror and say Today is the day, I will take control of my weight and fitness!

But that Loud and annoying voice, is screaming, It is not that easy, I have tried for years. Tell the voice to Shut Up!! And this is a new day. You will improve the quality of your life - Today is the Day!!!

Start by - Changing your thoughts and attitudes around the word diet and identify what kind of relationship you have with food.

Seek medical advice before starting a work out plan or have a Physical performed by your primary care physician.

Believe you can accomplish your fitness goals, and you are one step closer in the journey.

Feel free to leave a comment or question. I will pop in this forum at least once a week, so bare with me.

Remember this is a fitness journey, not an over night transformation time portal. It will be gradual and take time. Be consistent and focus on your goal. What are your fitness goals? Till next time.

Cheers
