Dietary Weight Loss

Hi, I am new to this forum and looking forward for some useful Info for myself and to pass some of my own. So I am a male aged 32, height is 5'7 and my weight is 200 pounds, which is way above normal for me. Due to corona, I am not doing any physical activity. So I was wandering is there a way of losing weight by following a certain diet alone and has anyone experienced weight loss just by adjusting dietary habits? If so which diet should one follow.
Regards

i have arthritis that prevents me from enjoying most forms of exercise although i do walk occasionally. CV is keeping me from walking as much as i used to, but that's my own problem. i consider diet the key to weight loss AND weight sustainability. my diet is based on intermittent fasting.

something easy to start with... look into how much sugar is in your diet. the more sugar you can cut out of your diet, the easier the rest will be.

Hey Frj and welcome to the forum :) Good news: the biggest part of weightloss is diet. Exercise is wonderful for a lot of things and I would recommend you try and do what you can at home but what you eat will determine what you weigh. Basically all diets restrict calories in one form or another, different ones just try to make it bearable in different ways. What works for you only you can decide. In general I´d say take it slowly and take the time to build habits you can stick with for the rest of your life.

Hi, frj & welcome to the forum. Flyer & LaMa have both given you some good advice. What you eat is the key to weight-loss. Perhaps try to focus on getting good nutrition & really looking after your body. I find that a more positive way of looking at “dieting”.
