Diet during strength training

There are so many questions related to health and nutrition that if I start asking them I would never be able to stop writing. Anyways I am also somewhat surprised seeing that no other persons are here posting nutrition related questions. I am interested to know about the food and nutrition that is needed to be taken by a person who is involved in strength training. There are so many health supplements do they actually do any help? If so then what are the foods that should be taken besides these?

Track your daily food intake in a program like or one of the 100s of other free food diary sites available on the web - this will show you where your nutrients are coming from and where you are deficient... Your best bet is to get your nutrients thru food and there are lots of resources on the web to show you how to get the nutrients your missng without resorting to popping a supplement...

I'd spend some time reading the stickied threads -chances are the questions you've got have already been asked and answered...

What are your current goals? And your current stats?

There's a lot of nutrition questions that are asked here.

Nutrition isn't too terribly difficult. Eat as much natural, unprocessed food as you can, eat adequate amounts of the essentials (protein, good fats, veggies, vitamins, etc), align caloric intake with current goals, wash rinse repeat.

Don't waste your money on supps. Not until you have everything else dialed in right.
