diary

I just began the slimquick program. i only want to lose 15 or 20 lbs but have not figured out how. i read up on the program and thought i would try it. i've always walked, ran, and lifted, but it's been so difficult for me to lose the extra layer of fat i have. it's time for me to get serious. that's why i'm here..for the support system.

i'm day 4 on the diet and i have followed the exercise regime they give you. it's cardio and weights.

another goal i have is to run a 5k on thanksgiving, with a decent time. i've always been able to run about 10 min miles, but want to figure out how to get faster.

i also work at starbucks, which kills me with temptation. i've only recently been able to say no, which i figured was a sign that i am ready to commit myself to losing this extra weight.

i am open to suggestions and comments all the time. thanks! :)

basically, it's a pill in the morning and then 6 hours later. it's made for women and is meant to supplement good diet and exercise. they say to eat 5 times a day, more protien than anything, which is really hard for me. it's meant for beginers or those who are aready serious. we'll see how it goes, i only bought 1 bottle of it and if i see no difference i'lll stop with the supplement. it's not worth it to me to take a pill when i can see no difference without one! :)
 
I'd post exactly what you eat during the day and at what times. I have a feeling your diet may need some help. No supplement in the world will help you unless your diet/trainig is in check.
 
so i did pretty good today, up until the evening
i had a bowl of kix with 1% milk
went to the gym
then had a peanut butter power bar
lunch was a small wrap with a piece of turkey and a piece of ham and a handful of bagel chips
here's where i went off a bit
i had a second snack of a whole bunch of granola mix
then dinner was a tomato basil mozerella panini, some steamed veggies and a couple pieces of shrimp with cocktail sauce.
the issue is that i work at starbucks. the pastries KILL me. i picked at this toffee almond bar that we have, i know i had less than 1/4 of it, but it's all fatt. and i'm hungry again now b/c i jsut got home but i know its bad to eat before i go to bed. this is my most difficult time to control, when i am at work till close and then come home hungry! sooo frustrating when i do pretty well all day.
