Desperatley need help.

So I've been working out diligentley for over a year, and I've seen some good results, but I'm getting REALLY burnt out and I feel I work out WAY too much for the little gains I see.

I work out my abs 2 to 3 times a week, and for the past few months have been doing 8 different exercises (all with a massive ammount of reps) for close to 2 hours. On the other days, I work out my chest/arms etc. for just as long.

I really need some advice from some more experienced people. I can't afford a trainer, but I have no idea how many reps or sets of what exercises to do (especially for my abs) and for how long per day. Thanks for the opinions.

Your probably over training urself man, thats more than likely ur problem. try cutting it back and dont go charging it for 2hours. cut it down to about 30-45 of intense working. so short breaks and go hard

Have you ever thought about trying an instructional video? It has pretty much the same effect as having a personal trainer right there (just a lot less money!) It sounds like you're doing a lot of hard core weight training (probably in a gym?) but there are a lot of great strength workouts that have the same results (and most of them run only about 1 hour at the most!) P90X is one really popular strength one right now or Insanity is another great one. Just a suggestion if you want to check them out!
