Desperate for Some Advice

Hi all!
I'm new around here. Don't post much but I'm trying to soak in as much information as I can. This past year I have gained a ton of weight...I'm at 185 right now and I'm only 22 years old. I just joined a new gym - I love the people and the classes, but I just don't know what to do to lose weight. I would love to lose 30 pounds by this time next year, but I don't know what to do to achieve this. I try to eat healthy but then I get these massive cravings for junk food and feel disgusting afterwards. I have the ability to get to the gym 4-5 times a week and the gym offers tons of spinning, abs workout, hip hop aerobics, etc classes.

Anyone offer advice for a beginner who would like to lose weight the safe and healthy way so that I can develop a new lifestyle and keep the weight off??? Thanks so much in advance!

You'll lose your 30 pounds and...

You're on the right track - Just try to do some type of activity everyday at a moderate-to-high intensity level everyday for 30-to-60 minutes and you'll esily lose 30 pounds in a year (NO PROBLEM!)

To battle those nasty cravings - Just eat more fiber (like oatmeal, fruits, veggies), lean protein &/or protein shkaes, and lots of water to kill your cravings.

Eating too much processed carbs & sugar awakens your cravings

As far as exercising goes - the easiest thing you can do is find an activity you like to do - for example... I love playing basketball & racquetball and i can easily do that everyday to maintain my weight

I hope this helps
