Deos Excercise helps to quit smoking ?

Hi There
I am 24 years old boy. I am smoking since 10 years. I addicted to smoke when i was 16 years old. I am very lean and thin. I try to quit smoking, but i can't quit. I want to quit it.
Kindly suggest me what should i do.

Exercise is shown to help people quit smoking. I actually remember reading a study that stated that, of the four worst health habits for a person - smoking, poor diet, inactivity, and binge drinking - the one factor to change which results in a higher likelihood of the other habits being resolved is your physical activity level.

Find an activity you like. A sport, maybe cycling, join a gym. Really, it doesn't matter what the activity is. As long as you get a good workout out of it and enjoy it, you're likely to stick with it.

It IS hard! My husband quit for 2 years and one night out drinking with friends, He had one thinking one could not hurt, but, that ONE led him right back into it. He finally stopped about 5 years later, and its been several years, but, not a day goes by that He dont miss and crave them. he knows He is ONE cigarette away from going back, so dont even have ONE.

at the very least, a good intense workout can illustrate to you where "the bar" is, and that bar is likely a lot lower than it could be simply for sake of smoking. Know that as you have youth on your side, living "x" number more years seems like a very difficult concept to visualize as useful motivation, but hitting "the wall" a mile before your running goal is a lot easier to formulate as something to overcome. Best of luck to you in quitting smoking.

When you get physically active several things happen;

- You improve blood flow and circulation throughout the body

- You build confidence

- You look and feel better

- You sleep better

- It helps your body repair itself

- Manage stress better

- Manage weight gain
When you are exercising you won't want to have a cigarette, in fact, you will find that the smell is very un-pleasant. There are many benefits to getting physically active and giving one bad habit for a good habit can have a huge psychological impact and build confidence that helps to reinforce your decision to quit.
good luck man

Somya,
It is very tough to quit smoking. Everything you need is to concentrate. Try to control your mind and do not think about smoking. only that will help you.

Or you can start using it will also help you to quit your smoking habit.

Actually no... Its your will power. If you really want to stop smoking then spend a full day in Lung Cancer rehab. Its pain full to see them suffering but gives you the strength to quit smoking.
