I want to know the best way to decrease my time for running two miles. Right now I run a 14 minute 2 mile, I am a 20 year old male. Is it better to do long slow runs? Or should I just continue doing 2 mile runs and try for a better time? Any advise would be helpful.
Keep running. Run your mile, if you feel you can run until 20 mins do so. After that walk 5 mins, then run 10min, walk 5 more min, do this for week. It'll knock down some time.
To get faster and keep a high stamina you have to burn fat. This can be easily achieved with a High INtensity Interval Cardio workout. I posted a thread about this here..
