Hello everyone. As you can tell from my amounts of posts, I am new to this board. I would like to try to lose 15 lbs. Currently, I stand 5 ft 5 inches and weigh roughly 145 and I would like to get to 130. Throughout my life, weight has been an issue and I know that I'm not the first. I was thin until I hit around 12. I don't know what happened, but I suddenly balloned up. Now, I'm 19 years old. About 3 years ago, I attempted the Atkins Diet along with the help of Xenedrine RFA to jumpstart my weightloss. Boy did that help. It seemed like in no time I lost the 15lbs but I gained it back quickly.
Around this time last, I was peaking at around 167. I joined LA Weightloss (I'm not sure if anyone heard of it). I was desperate to lose the weight. Low and behold, it did not work. What a scam. I followed it to a tee and even exercised. I lost about 12 lbs doing that program and the rest was on my own.
I exercise regularly. I have a YMCA membership that stays active. I work a 9-5 job as well. I go to YMCA in the morningsa bout 4-5x a week and I use the elliptical for 30 minutes. I'm going to try and aim for about 35 minutes next week. I want to try the cycling class there as well.
Enough ranting for the moment....(and I appreciate those who listened )
Here is my food diary:
Breakfast:
before workout
3/4 c special k low carb
1/2 c skim milk
handful of berries (strawberries, blueberries, etc..)
after workout:
south beach diet protein bar
8 oz low sugar strawberry apple juice
morning snack:
12 baby carrots
lunch:
sandwich which usually consists of a protein, a piece of cheese, some type of low-fat condiment such as light miracle whip or mustard
cherry tomatos and/or salad
afternoon snack:
a few triscuits or fruit
Dinner:
Protein
Vegetables
I average around 64+oz of water a day and I only drink maybe 2 cups of coffee sweetened with a little splenda and non-dairy cream (the powder stuff).
Would someobody please be kind enough to give me some insight as to my food consumptions and whether or not I should be eating more of something and less of something or vis versa?
Of course, I splurge here and there on my diet. Its not like I eat a whole bag of chips. If anything, my splurge will be a piece of plain cheese pizza or some fried wings.
