Ok I am going to start keeping a journal of my food intake for the next like 6 weeks (weekly posting in my log on here). My concern was I've heard some crazy things about sodium and the intake level on it. I have read that it is bad for blood pressure, which I don't need help with my anger issues every once in a while and such. Ontop of that I fear over consumption of it like most American do daily. One person I talked to said something like 300mg a day, and I was like "holy ****." Well looking on my South Beach Diet package for lunch today it has like double that(This is my biggest meal of the day really and I am going to get away from them and start making my own once I get established enough to). Anyways, I read that a standard American goal would be 2300-2400mg/day. The UK runs for 1500-1600mg/day and that is what is recommended for people with blood pressure as well. Should I shoot for the standard American or UK? Or different?
